About Us
Established in 1955 Dunedin Carrying Company Ltd operated as a general carrier for 35 years before embarking in the early 1990's into the burgeoning forestry sector. It continued to specialise in the areas of domestic and export log cartage, and in 2003 the company was purchased by Dynes Transport Ltd, also a large specialised log cartage operator.Further rationalisation occurred in 2008 with the amalgamation of Dunedin Carrying Company Ltd and Wilsons Transport Otago Ltd. This created a large and diverse operation with a proud combined history of over 100 years servicing Otago and Southland.
The enlarged group was able to further diversify and gain better utilisation while still concentrating in the areas of forestry and related industries, the dairy processing sector and other specialised bulk transport.
The company, now one of the largest transport companies in Otago, is an associate company of the Dynes and Wilson Holdings group of companies.
